The project opens with on a light note with "Fly Ya To Hawaii," which features Leigh on lead vocal. It's a simple, playful love song set in the beautiful islands. It's followed by Willis' perfectly sadly singing atop the steel guitar accompanied "Another Broken Heart." Carper takes her first turn upfront on "Won't Be Worried Long," a sort of revision of an old folk song. Carper fills it with her old-style voice of experience.
Willis sounds much happier on the squeeze box-driven and jaunty "A Thousand Ways." She's trying to make a relationship last, but also doesn't sound too worried that she'll make that happen. In addition to the track's accordion, this one also features a few nice acoustic guitar solos. Speaking of acoustic guitar, Leigh sings again, this time with a come-hither tone on the unplugged "Hanging On To You." The EP closes with "I Have Met My Love Today," a cover of a John Prine song with Carper singing lead. Leigh and Willis harmonize nicely on it as well.
This Wonder Women outing may not be especially action packed, but it sure turns on the charm with some sweet, authentic country singing.
