iiird Tyme Out releases collection with new recordings

Tuesday, October 16, 2007 – IIIrd Tyme Out will release "Footprints: A IIIrd Tyme Out Collection" Jan. 8, 2008, the second installment in Rounder's Cream of the Crop series of anthologies. Featuring 13 tracks and 2 exclusive new recordings, the disc will be a best-of from their Rounder years and highlights the band's classic lineup of Russell Moore (guitar, lead vocal), Ray Deaton (bass, bass vocal), Wayne Benson (mandolin, vocal), Steve Dilling (banjo, vocal), and Mike Hartgrove (fiddle).

The band has won seven consecutive Vocal Group of the Year awards from the International Bluegrass Music Association. The Georgia-based band has released several albums on their own.

IIIrd Tyme Out is currently on the road featuring Moore (guitar), Edgar Loudermilk (upright bass), Benson (mandolin), Dilling (banjo), and Justen Haynes (fiddle).

CD review - IIIrd Tyme Out One of the best bands in bluegrass, IIIrd Tyme Out, delivers again. With material from a variety of writers, including three songs by Russell Moore and an instrumental by band-mate and ace mandolist Wayne Benson, they offer a variety of songs.
