Nichols splits with Broken Bow
Wednesday, October 17, 2018 – Joe Nichols has exited Broken Bow Records, according to Music Row magazine.
Nichols, 41, who enjoyed hits with "Brokenheartsville," "Tequila Makes Her Clothes Fall Off" and "Gimme That Girl," had been with the label for 6 years.
The Arkansas native started his career on Intersound Records for his debut before switching to Universal South and then Show Dog-Universal.
When Nichols signed with Broken Bow, it was with its Red Bow subsidiary, which folded in July. At that point, the label evaluated the artists remaining to determine if they should remain with the label. Nichols' most recent album was 2017's "Never Gets Old."
