Morgan has it "Workin'"

Friday, December 14, 2018 – William Michael Morgan is "Workin'."

At least that's the name of his single.

The country rocker, penned by Bart Butler, Aaron Goodvin, Driver Williams and Brett Tyler, was the fiinal installment in Morgan's From the Neon Lounge video series. Morgan, who had a hit off his debut with"I Met a Girl," previously released four songs.

"I first heard this song while traveling through Mexico, and it immediately struck a chord," Morgan said. "It was just a rough work tape, but I saw those pictures. I saw the guy out there working and the girl with her feet up, drinking some red wine and waiting on me to call quitting time."

Morgan will open on the Alan Jackson 2019 Tour. The run will kick off in Louisville, Ky. on Jan. 25 and continue through the fall.

CD reviews for William Michael Morgan

Did anyone bother to tell William Michael Morgan that he's seriously out of style? Who sports cowboy hats any more as the Vicksburg, Miss. native does on the cover of his debut? They were pretty much discarded (remember when hat acts got a tremendous amount of grief as poseurs?) years ago in favor of the baseball hats favored by the likes of Luke Bryan. Not surprisingly, Morgan has far more in common with the likes of George Strait (he still wears his cowboy headgear) than today's country popmeisters. ...
