Watson announces new disc
Friday, January 4, 2019
– Aaron Watson announced today he would release a new disc, "Red Bandana," this year. Watson also released a new single, "Kiss That Girl Goodbye."
Watson wrote the uptempo song himself. As usual, Watson will release the album on his own BIG Label Records and distributed by ADA Worldwide.
The song includes the lines:
"That boy can kiss that girl goodbye
Just like a red eyed flight
Two tail lights in the night
You're gonna spread your wings and fly
That boy can kiss that girl goodbye
Just like a west bound train
You're drinking cheap champagne
You got no more tears to cry
And you're long gone like a whisper in the wind
That boy can kiss that girl goodbye"
"'Kiss That Girl Goodbye' is my brand spanking new single and one of the 20 songs that I wrote for my upcoming album, Red Bandana," said Watson. "I wanted to come out of the gates with a fast, fun, boot-stomper that sounds great on radio and gets the fans dancing. I actually wrote it late one night after meeting a girl at my show who was in tears after being stood up on a date. My little girl Jolee Kate loves it and says it has GIRL POWER! Thanks to all of you for supporting me, my music and my family."
Watson has announced a run of 40 concerts by Memorial Day.

And few will argue with Watson's lyrical arguments. But it seems like America is far beyond being unified simply by a relatively simple song. With that said, though, ...
The opening track to Aaron Watson's "Red Bandana" double album is "The Ghost of Guy Clark," and it's an appropriate way to kick things off. The legendary songwriter's spirit hands the narrator, Watson, a guitar and asks him to play a song. After just a couple lines, Clark stops him cold, saying "I think I've heard enough of that. When you've heard one, you've heard them all," It's probably exactly how a meeting with the spirit of an ...
When Aaron Watson titled his holiday album "An Aaron Watson Family Christmas," he wasn't kidding about the "family" part. Although his children - Jake, Jack and Jolee - are advertised as making cameo appearances, they're actually an essential part. "Christmas Time Is Here," for example, is an all-kids rendition. Watson's kids give this album special charm, while his singing and playing bring the traditional skill.
This album includes a couple of new songs. ...
