Watson returns to road after vocal rest

Wednesday, July 27, 2022 – After a long road to recovery from vocals issues that caused him to be off the road from touring since mid-April, Aaron Watson has finally been relieved of vocal rest and returns to the road on Thursday.

"It was definitely a frustrating and scary time, especially in the beginning not knowing what was going on with my voice, but that something was definitely wrong," Watson said. "I'm so grateful to have had the best care and prayers from the best fans to get me through these past few months."

Watson suffered from a granuloma in his throat that left him unable to sing. Watson also was at times speechless as he sought treatment and therapy from specialists.

In over 20 years of his career, Watson has never before been forced to cancel a string of shows.

"I'm really excited to be back out on the road, playing music with the band and seeing all the fans. It feels really great to be on stage again and I'm looking forward to all the dates we have coming up performing across the country," said Watson.

CD reviews for Aaron Watson

CD review - American Soul With the title track to this Aaron Watson release, the Texas singer/songwriter raises questions that he doesn't fully answer. In a severely divided country, it's getting tougher and tougher to find commonalities in the American soul. On it, Watson salutes hard workers, while also quoting the national anthem. And few will argue with Watson's lyrical arguments. But it seems like America is far beyond being unified simply by a relatively simple song. With that said, though, ...
CD review - Red Bandana The opening track to Aaron Watson's "Red Bandana" double album is "The Ghost of Guy Clark," and it's an appropriate way to kick things off. The legendary songwriter's spirit hands the narrator, Watson, a guitar and asks him to play a song. After just a couple lines, Clark stops him cold, saying "I think I've heard enough of that. When you've heard one, you've heard them all," It's probably exactly how a meeting with the spirit of an ...
CD review - An Aaron Watson Family Christmas When Aaron Watson titled his holiday album "An Aaron Watson Family Christmas," he wasn't kidding about the "family" part. Although his children - Jake, Jack and Jolee - are advertised as making cameo appearances, they're actually an essential part. "Christmas Time Is Here," for example, is an all-kids rendition. Watson's kids give this album special charm, while his singing and playing bring the traditional skill. This album includes a couple of new songs. ...
