Crowell + friends quarantine disc supports health care group
The digital compilation of rarities is available now for only two weeks exclusively on Bandcamp.
This collection features fan-favorite songs in their raw form, performed by the artists who wrote and/or recorded them.
Proceeds from this limited edition 13-song download will benefit the work of non-profit Music Health Alliance (MHA) and its continued work to provide free healthcare advocacy and support to the music community nationwide, including mental health and COVID-19 resources in addition to access to healthcare, medicines, diagnostic tests and more.
Crowell, an MHA board member, said: "The good folks at Music Health Alliance work tirelessly on behalf of our nationwide music community. Their selfless contributions have had a profound effect on the lives of countless musician's families. This little homemade compilation is the least we could do to show our deep appreciation for everything they do."

Having Jeff Tweedy (a fan) produce Rodney Crowell's "The Chicago Sessions," was a smart move. He doesn't over embellish these 10 fine songs, which don't need any gussying up. It finds Crowell expressing gratitude, beginning with the upbeat opener, "Lucky," and continuing with one about the power of love, which posits that - no matter what life may bring – being loved will get you through it all. Crowell sings these songs, most of which he wrote, quite well as always. ...
Rodney Crowell is a rare breed of a country songwriter. Yes, he knows how to write traditional country songs; it's just he's also a deep thinker, which requires extra effort on the part of the listener to appreciate them fully. "Texas" is just as varied as his everything-is-bigger home state. It's also a star-studded affair, which even includes none other than Ringo Starr.

Rodney Crowell's "Christmas Everywhere" is a (mostly) melancholy collection of songs, with Christmas time as its setting. It's a strong set of carefully worded tunes, set to widely varying musical backings. All 12 tracks are originals, so if you're seeking out 'Rodney Crowell performs holiday favorites,' this is certainly not for you.
However, if you're a little tired of all the trappings associated with the winter season, you'll find an empathetic soul in Crowell. ...
