Twain plays Nashville with Ballerini, BRELAND

Wednesday, October 26, 2022 – Shania Twain is coming to Nashville, announcing that she would be the opening act of the new GEODIS Park on June 7, 2023.

Produced by Live Nation, Kelsea Ballerini and BRELAND open the first concert to take place at GEODIS Park since the soccer stadium opened May.

"I'm going out to Nashville," said Twain, who has been working on a new album.

"It's been too long... five years almost!" Twain tweeted in breaking the news about the concert.

Twain released a new song, "Waking Up Dreaming," last month and her first release in five years.

"We are truly excited to bring our first concert to GEODIS Park," said Ian Ayre, CEO of Nashville Soccer Club. "Hosting top artists for concerts was one of the key focuses for our stadium design, and it is fantastic to see this come to fruition. So many people have worked so hard to get to this point for soccer and for music, and we could not be happier than to have Shania Twain be our first announced artist to perform at GEODIS Park."

Tickets go on sale on Friday at 10 a.m. local time at LiveNation.com.

One dollar of every ticket purchased to the show will be donated to SKC. Established in 2010 by Twain, SKC provides services that promote positive change in children's lives in times of crises and economic hardship. SKC provides children with one-on-one consultations, academic support and group activities, as well as nutritious snacks and meal programs where needed.

Twain also is in the cast of "Beauty and the Beast: A 30th Celebration" in the role of Mrs. Potts, premiering on ABC Dec. 15 and streaming on Disney+ as of Dec. 16.

After the massive success of "The Woman In Me," Shania Twain has strayed very far from country in what is essentially a pop album. Few of the 16 songs are country: the first single, the catchy, uptempo "Love Gets Me Every Time" with its killer three fiddle attack, "You're Still The One," "Honey, I'm Home," (a lousy job blues song, ...
