"Shucked" receives nine Tony nominations
"The first musical I ever saw was Oklahoma, and I fell in love. It's been a lifelong love affair for me and musical theater, but I never dreamed I'd be a part of the musical theater/Broadway world. 'Shucked' has made dreams I never dreamed come true."
The musical was also nominated for Best Book of a Musical and Best Original Score (Music And/Or Lyrics) Written For The Theatre.
Actors Kevin Cahoon and Alex Newell wre nominated for Best Performance By An Actor In A Featured Role In A Musical.
Jack O'Brien was nominated for Best Direction Of A Musical, Scott Pask for Best Scenic Design Of A Musical and John Shivers for Best Sound Design Of A Musical. Jason Howland received a nodfor Best Orchestrations for his work on the show.
Clark will release a self-titled album, produced by Brandi Carlile, on May 19 on Warner Records. Clark has released two album tracks - "She Smoked in the House" and "Buried."
