Morgan joins Army Reserve
"I'm excited to once again serve my country and be all I can be in hopes of encouraging others to be a part of something greater than ourselves," said Morgan. "I love being an artist but I consider it a true privilege and honor to work with what I believe are the greatest of Americans, my fellow soldiers. God Bless America. Go Army."
Morgan previously served 17 years in the Army and Army Reserve with the 101st and 82nd Airborne Divisions as an E-6 Staff Sergeant and Fire Support Specialist and including airborne, air assault and rappel master among his certifications. He now will be a soldier in the Army Reserve. The newly sworn in Staff Sergeant and Warrant Officer candidate will continue his music career while simultaneously serving in the Army Reserve.
"No matter who you are or where you're from, service in the United States Army is a unique, life-changing honor," said General Andrew Poppas, Commander, US Army Forces Command, who officiated Morgan's ceremony. "Every soldier who enters the Army has the opportunity to become the best version of themselves, and Staff Sgt. Morgan is no exception. I look forward to seeing what he accomplishes and how he impacts other soldiers around the Army."
Morgan will be assigned to Redstone Arsenal, Ala.
This fall, Morgan will also reprise his \"God, Family, Country Tour 2023," in partnership with Operation Finally Home. Kicking off Sept. 20 in Englewood, N.J., Morgan and special guests The Reeves Brothers will play 13 theater and auditorium dates through the end of October.

CD reviews for Craig Morgan
Craig Morgan clearly loves his country and his country music - he now has 20 years of recording cred. It's been a career for the Tennessean that's gone a bit up/down/sideways. Morgan's biggest hits of "That's What I Love About Sunday (a re-recording appears on this collection) and "Redneck Yacht Club" are well in the rear view. But he's still a Grand Ole Opry member and signed with a new label in 2019.
What's intriguing about this collection ...
Craig Morgan likes to keep things simple. Once dubbed "country music's champion of the Everyman" he is best known best known for songs that espouse the core values of the genre: Faith ( That's What I Love About Sunday), good times, ( Redneck Yacht Club) and helping others ( Almost Home ).
We get much of the same on "This Ole Boy," his first new music in three years and debut with Black River Entertainment. Disappointingly, the patriotism, religion and love ...
