Morgan, Ramsey, Restless Road release music

Friday, October 20, 2023 – On the heels of being sworn into the U.S. Army Reserve on the Grand Ole Opry stage this summer, Craig Morgan is out with a six-song EP, "Enlisted," on Broken Bow Records. Morgan recruited Trace Adkins, Luke Combs, Gary LeVox, Jelly Roll, Blake Shelton and Lainey Wilson — to sing on the project, which features new versions of some of Morgan's biggest hits and two new songs.

The trio Restless Road - Colton Pack, Garrett Nichols and Zach Beeken - released its debut album, "Last Rodeo." The band put out an EP in 2020 and has since released a number of singles. The debut contains 18 songs.

Mason Ramsey, who made a stir when he was only 11, returns to action with "Falls Into Place," an EP, via Atlantic Records. For Ramsey, now 16, this marks his first new studio collection since 2019. He helped write four of the five songs.

Chris Lane put out a five-song EP, "From Where I'm Sippin'." This marks the veteran's first release through a partnership of Jay DeMarcus' Red Street Records and Voyager Records, which Lane launched himself. The lead single is "Find Another Bar."

Jams Barker Band, a quartet, released "Ahead of Our Time," a six-song EP. Barker, who is the lead singer, helped write five of the songs. The Canadian band got its start in 2009 when Barker and drummer Connor Stephen met at band camp. The group has enjoyed nine GOLD singles in Canada, two PLATINUM songs and a GOLD EP.

Colorado-bred singer/songwriter/multi-instrumentalist Sophia Scott makes her debut with "Barstool Confessions." The first single was "Boots, Jeans, & Jesus."

But he's still a Grand Ole Opry member and signed with a new label in 2019. What's intriguing about this collection ...
Craig Morgan has been called "country music's champion of the everyman." Not only did the native of Kingston Springs, Tenn. spend more than 10 years in the U.S. Army, when he came home he worked construction, wore the badge of a sheriff's deputy and even did time at a Walmart. For his first album of original material in four years as and his second for Black River, he makes it abundantly clear in the liner notes that he is a devout Christian and the tone of the album reflects ...
CD review - This Ole Boy Craig Morgan likes to keep things simple. Once dubbed "country music's champion of the Everyman" he is best known best known for songs that espouse the core values of the genre: Faith ( That's What I Love About Sunday), good times, ( Redneck Yacht Club) and helping others ( Almost Home ). We get much of the same on "This Ole Boy," his first new music in three years and debut with Black River Entertainment. Disappointingly, the patriotism, religion and love ...
