Smith finds himself "Chasing Cars"
Friday, September 15, 2023 – Nate Smith released his rendition of Snow Patrol's "Chasing Cars," today.
After lending his vocals to the 2006 hit and previewing his version on social media beginning in July, Smith's following has grown by more than 100,000 on TikTok and over 88,000 on Instagram. More than 13,500 videos have been created using the sound as well.
Smith decided to release the song as a result.
Smith previously had a number one hit with "Whiskey On You." He is currently pushing the single "World on Fire."

Nate Smith has a wonderful, quivering voice. It's a voice often pushed to its limit, though, because so many of the songs feature pounding drums and roaring electric guitars. It's a whole lot of pounding and roaring because it – like many (too many?) contemporary country albums – is extra-long. The deluxe edition, in fact, sports 26 songs and clocks in at nearly an hour-and-a-half. All this loud music is just a bit much, though, by the time all's said and done. ...
