Lewis sings of patriotic pride in "Made In China"

Friday, February 23, 2024 – Ahead of the release of Aaron Lewis' next country album THE HILL (out March 29 via The Valory Music Co.), Lewis dropped "Made In China," the second track out from the upcoming project.

"The best songs come from a place of authenticity," said Lewis. "This one started as a conversation with friends as we picked up items around the room with 'Made in China' stamped on the bottom. And we put pen to paper."

"Made In China," written by Lewis and Bobby Pinson, offers patriotic pride that some things are still manufactured in the U.S.

Featuring 10 tracks penned solo or with others, "The Hill" speaks to a time of upheaval both in the wider world and within.

The disc is an acoustic record, produced by Lewis alongside Ira Dean. Many songs are backed with guitar, Dobro and mandolin.

"Somebody's got to live this shit, and these songs, they're me," he said. "I really don't feel like I'm alone in my feelings – I'm just more willing to open up my mouth."

The track list is:
1. "Let's Go Fishing" | Written by: Aaron Lewis, Bobby Pinson
2. "Over The Hill" | Written by: Aaron Lewis, Matt McGinn, Bobby Pinson
3. "Made In China" | Written by: Aaron Lewis, Bobby Pinson
4. "Spinnin'" | Written by: Aaron Lewis, Ira Dean, Jeffrey Steele
5."Over Me" | Written by: Aaron Lewis, Ira Dean, Jeffrey Steele
6. "Outlaw" | Written by: Aaron Lewis, Matt McGinn, Bobby Pinson
7. "Up To Me" | Written by: Aaron Lewis, Bobby Pinson
8. "That's My Life" | Written by: Aaron Lewis, Ira Dean, Jeffrey Steele
9. "Only In My Mind" | Written by: Aaron Lewis, Ira Dean, Jeffrey Steele
10. "Little More Mine" | Written by: Aaron Lewis, Matt McGinn, Bobby Pinson

CD reviews for Aaron Lewis

CD review - Frayed at Both Ends Aaron Lewis' "Frayed At Both Ends" features the singer/songwriter's profanity-laced political diatribe, "Am I The Only One." If you're not on Lewis' (conservative) side of the political spectrum, you may steer clear of Lewis' album. This would be understandable. Many don't appreciate politics mixed in with their music. However, Lewis – who began his career as the vocalist in the grunge band Staind – has become quite an effective country ...
CD review - State I'm In When you tune into rocker turned country singer Aaron Lewis' fourth solo outing, "State I'm In," you'll find yourself excited about the potential state of country music with artists like Lewis still standing guard. Writing with an unapologetic hand and an honest, earnest love for the sounds of classic country he was weaned on, Lewis' music here steps forth with powerful emotion, great musicianship, and you can dance to it too. Backing Lewis' play is a virtual ...
CD review - Sinner You hear all the time these days how politicians are 'evolving' on particular issues. They may have felt one way about a topic many years ago, but - nearly miraculously - they've since evolved. Aaron Lewis is the former singer for Staind, a noisy, pained hard rock band. But it's been a while since Lewis created alternative rock and roll. With "Sinner," he's truly evolved, musically. This is not some cynical, Alan Jackson gone country moment, either. ...
