Shellhart will "Search My Name"
"Donovan Woods is a dear friend and one of my favorite artists in the world," Shellhart said. "When he sent me an early version of the idea for this song, I simply fell in love with it. Social media makes everyone insane, and as it turns out Donovan and I are included in that insanity, so this is a song about that.
"Getting to write and sing a song with Donovan, 10-out-of-10 would highly recommend."
The airy and uptempo track was written by Shellhart, Ava Suppelsa, Robyn Dell-Unto and Woods and produced by Cameron Jaymes.
The song finds Shellhart and Woods examining what a crush look like in the social media age and the self-doubt we can feel based on our online presence. Lyrics include:
Well, I search my name to see what you might know about me
I search my life for a sign of something you might like
I search my name
Scroll through the captions I wrote and reread them
My body, my family, my friends, how you'd see them
Odds are you won't even meet 'em
The song follows Shellhart's recent release "A Nice Thing to Do" featuring Charlie Worsham. The Wyoming native also released the Christmas EP, "Cross-Legged By The Fireplace" and debut album.
