"Twisters" soundtrack, Wetzel, Tursi, Anna out today
Koe Wetzel is out with "9 Lives" on Columbia. The disc, which incorporates a variety of musical styles, from the Pittsburgh, Texas was produced predominantly by Gabe Simon (Noah Kahan's "Stick Season") alongside collaborators like Josh Serrato, Amy Allen, Carrie K and Sam Harris (X Ambassadors). The release contains 13 songs. Wetzel recorded the album at Sonic Ranch in the border town of Tornillo, Texas, as well as Melody Mountain in Stephensville, Texas.
Old Dominion guitarist Brad Tursi put out his first solo disc, "Parallel Love." Tursi didn't start out making his own album, but received encouragement to put out the music. The material includes songs Tursi has penned over the past decade.
Avery Anna debuts her debut album, "Breakup Over Breakfast," via Warner Music Nashville. Anna wrote or co-wrote every song on the 17-track LP. David Fanning produced the set for the 20-year-old Texas native. Growing up in Flagstaff, Ariz., Anna's grandfather shared classic country music with her as a little girl. She later taught herself how to play guitar by watching YouTube tutorials before diving in with real-life piano lessons. Dylan Marlow, Parmalee and The Love Junkies (Lori McKenna, Liz Rose and Hillary Lindsey) guest on the release.
