Twisted Pine has "Goosebump Feeling"

Tuesday, July 23, 2024 – Boston quartet Twisted Pine dropped the video for their first official single, "Goosebump Feeling."

The song is on the band's upcoming album, "Love Your Mind," out Oct. 18 on Signature Sounds Records. The single is propelled by fiddler/songwriter/vocalist Kathleen Parks' vocals, harmonies and the band's playing.

Parks said, "Sometimes life surprises you and catches you off guard. 'Goosebump Feeling' is an upbeat, insistent and hooky pop song about feeling yourself changing in ways you didn't expect, of letting go of what you thought you were and giving into the thrill and exhilaration of what you can be. Tom Petty's hook-heavy songwriting and vocal delivery was a key influence."

The video was filmed in Toronto and directed by Blake Hannahson. "We wanted to showcase everyone's freedom through movement. We hope that it captures the playful, indie energy we all aimed for in this track and that the rhythm will take over, encouraging our fans and friends to want to dance too!" Parks said. "During our shoot we even made some new friends at a dance battle in downtown Toronto."

Twisted Pine is Parks on fiddle and lead vocals; Dan Bui on mandolin and vocals; Chris Sartori on bass and vocals; and Anh Phung on flute and vocals.

CD review - Twisted Pine After gaining a following on the acoustic scene as a band with progressive bluegrass leanings and roots, Massachusetts-based Twisted Pine's self-titled release finds they've, well, progressed quite a bit. The 11 tracks find them a bit more toward the jazz and swing side of things. Kathleen Parks is a dynamic fiddler, who has developed her own stockpile of unexpected and rewarding licks, while mandolinist Dan Bui is likewise unafraid to stray outside the conventional lines. ...
