Honer announces "annabelle"
Honer's third release in under seven months, "Annabelle" arrives on the heels of his sophomore album, "Fighting For," a series of brand new singles, and his latest EP, "Different Life," which came out earlier this fall.
The single "me, without you," one of five brand new songs featured in the collection, was released today.
"I'm very proud of this little project," said Honer. "I wanted each song to capture the same feeling, so I recorded everything in my bedroom. It's a collection of five songs, driven by acoustic guitar and honest lyrics. Recording in my own space allowed me to shape each track however I felt was right. I think these songs sound and feel different from anything I've made before. I recorded them with my roommate, Shane Travis, and then sent them to Jon Notar for final mixing. Now feels like the perfect time to release them — to find a sense of closure and start fresh on my third album."
"Each song is about the same person, and they capture what life feels like after the end of a relationship. The first track, 'me, without you' expresses the feeling of being 'off,' like a part of you is missing, and how you try to fill that void in every possible way, even when nothing helps."
Last month, Honer released a reimagined version of his song "Mr. Meyers" featuring guest vocals from Charles Wesley Godwin.
Over the summer, Honer also shared a reimagined version of his song "Fighting For" featuring a stunning duet with Hailey Whitters. Honer's debut, "West on I-10," came out last year. He gained a following with his version of Tyler Childers' "Jersey Giant."
The track listing is:
1. lead role
2. high school reunion
3. me, without you
4. annabelle
5. happy in the end
