Honer takes the "lead role"

Friday, November 22, 2024 – Evan Honer issue his new single "lead role," the next offering from his upcoming EP "annabelle," due out Dec. 13 through Cloverdale Records.

"This is a very out-of-the-box song for me," said Honer. "It's an interesting concept with very unstructured rhyme schemes. 'lead role' continues the story of this girl 'annabelle' and puts it into the perspective of a movie. It starts off with, 'I got the lead role to a part I never wanted / In a movie where the guy lets down the girl in the end.' The song features doubled vocals, and I've only released one other song where my vocals have been doubled. This sound is new for me, and I am very happy with how it came out."

"lead role" follows "me, without you," which will also appear on "annabelle," Honer's third release in under seven months. The forthcoming EP arrives on the heels of his sophomore album , "Fighting For," which came out this summer, a series of singles, and his latest EP, "Different Life."

Recently, Honer released a reimagined version of his song "Mr. Meyers" featuring guest vocals from Charles Wesley Godwin.

After wrapping his sold-out nationwide Nowhere Fast Tour this fall, Honer will hit the road with Wyatt Flores in December, including shows at Nashville's Ryman Auditorium, Brooklyn Paramount and Boston's MGM Music Hall at Fenway.
