Kelley puts his "Pedal to Medal" with Pigg
The song is a remix of Pigg's original solo-penned "Pedal to Metal," which Kelley loved after Pigg reached out to share it online. The song fuses Pigg's original flow with Kelley's vocal and production by Trell Hudson, Trap beats and throbbing bass ride alongside a smooth electric guitar riff, with some authentic Florida twang.
A Ben Christensen-directed music video was filmed on location in the Arizona desert.
"The music video encompasses the vibe of a 'come up' that is featured in Tyler's music," Kelley said. "Playing two hardworking guys fixing cars, this clip combines a heart-pounding, pedal-to-the-floor pace, juxtaposed against a song that is about enjoying life in either the fast, or slow lane."
Pigg said, "We met up in Phoenix for the first time, and the vibes were nothing short of electric. We shot an epic video that we knew the record needed, and Ben had everything treated out to perfection. BK and I have bottled up this magic and are releasing it to the world, and Lord willing, there will be much more to come."
The track follows the surprise release of Kelley's live album and concert film, "Surf Post Sessions Live," out late last month. The music was recorded over two nights in July 2024 in the backyard of Kelley's Surf Post in Grayton Beach, Fla.
