Young announces label debut

Friday, March 21, 2025 – Chris Young will be out April 4 with "Til The Last One Dies," his debut release on his new label home, Black River.

Young announced the upcoming single last night following his headlining concert in Beaver Creek, Col. The song was written by Ben Hayslip, Seth Mosley and Jordan Walker.

"Songs like this don't come along every day, and I haven't released a 'wedding love song' in a while," said Young. "Those songs are a core part of who I am as an artist. I've been doing this for a long time, and yet this feels like a new chapter. It's invigorating for me as a creator."

Teaming up with producer Andy Sheridan for the first time, Young co-produced "Til The Last One Dies."

However, Young's voice is just too good to waste on mere pop. ...
CD review - It Must Be Christmas Song selection can sometimes seem fairly inessential whenever chosen by a master singer. Such is the case with "It Must Be Christmas," Chris Young's new holiday collection. He sounds as perfectly comfortable with the jazzy "I'll Be Home for Christmas," where its supper club vibe takes a little of the edge off one seriously sad song, as he does with the Phil Spector rock nugget "Christmas (Baby Please Come Home)." Young is also helped out by a few special guests. ...
