Blake Shelton sings with Michael Buble
Friday, March 14, 2008 – Blake Shelton has a hit single with Michael Buble's "Home," a song written by the Canadian singer. So when Buble played Nashville Wednesday night, he and Shelton met before the show.
Buble didn't expect Buble to invite him to come on stage and sing. According to a publicist at Shelton's label, the invite was entirely unplanned and unrehearsed, meaning they had no chance to rehearse.
After Buble introduced Shelton, they sat on stools and traded lines of the song. The crowd responded with a standing ovation - the first of the evening.
"I was so excited to finally get to meet Michael. He's a great guy, really funny and easy to get to know," said Shelton. "When he invited me to sing with him I was truly honored and a little nervous since we didn't rehearse. But it was an awesome experience."
