Krauss, Plant touring band set; Union Station members tour
Monday, April 7, 2008 – Alison Krauss goes on tour in the U.S. with Robert Plant later this month with a band featuring T Bone Burnett as band leader guitar ace Buddy Miller. The tour kicks off with two shows April 18 and 19 in Louisville, Ky.
Burnett, who produced "Raising Sand," also will play guitar. Miller plays guitar and other instruments. Stuart Duncan will be on tour playing more instruments than anyone else - fiddle, mandolin, ukulele and guitar. The rhythm section will be Jay Bellerose on drums, and Dennis Crouch on bass. Krauss also will play fiddle.
Union Station members will not tour with Plant and Krauss. Jerry Douglas is touring throughout the summer as is Dan Tyminski as The Dan Tyminski Band. Barry Bales will be playing bass in The Dan Tyminski Band. Ron Block is continuing to support his latest solo release "DoorWay."
