Bellamys, Bacons found Guilty of the Crime
Wednesday, July 8, 2009 – The Bellamy Brothers teamed with the Bacon Brothers to film a new single from a forthcoming disc.. The Bellamy Brothers spent an afternoon inside a Memphis prison filming the video for their new collaboration, Guilty of the Crime.
The song is the first single from the Bellamy's forthcoming "Anthology, Vol. 1" collection, due out digitally Aug. 1 and in stores on Sept. 29. 90210 actress Shannen Doherty is in the video

This album is largely just a re-release of the Bellamy Brothers' 1996 album, "Tropical Christmas," which contained 11 of this album's 14 songs. Out of the three new songs, the title track is a trite, uninspiring song ("the reason for the season is love"). "God Bless America This Christmas" manages to rhyme "Afghanistan" with "foreign lands" and adds a dash of patriotism to your Christmas egg nog. The Bellamy's first release on Curb records since 1990, (and part of a settlement in the lawsuit the brothers filed against the label, draw your own conclusions) is a mixed bag. The disc offers something old, something new, something borrowed and will cause some blues in the hearts of those who expect more from the geniuses behind "Old Hippie" and "Lovers Live Longer."
