Shhh! Willie Nelson plays secret show

Monday, August 24, 2009 – Willie Nelson will play at his hometown bar in Maui, Hawaii for another installment of the MySpace Music Secret Show franchise on Tuesday, Aug. 25, the day his new Blue Note album "American Classic," is released. The show, which will also feature a special guest appearance by indie rockers Band of Horses, will take place at Charley's Restaurant & Saloon in Paia.

This is Nelson's first album of jazz standards since his 1978 release, "Stardust." The album, which was produced by Tommy Lipuma and features special guest appearances by Norah Jones and Diana Krall, was premiered on MySpace, streaming in its entirety. Nelson will also be revealing tracks from American Classic on his SIRIUS XM channel "Willie's Place" (Sirius channel 64 and XM channel 13) with a special weekend of programming called "Willie Standard Time."
