Covington releases video of Gotta Be Somebody

Tuesday, November 3, 2009 – Bucky Covington released a video for current single, his version of Nickelback's Gotta Be Somebody. The video made its debut on CMT.com and will air on TV starting next week.

Directed by Devin Pense, this live performance style video spotlights his hometown community of Rockingham, N.C. Filmed in the local town square during Covington's recent homecoming concert, the video features a crowd of more than 6,000 fans, friends and family.

"Playing back home is something I've wanted to do for a long time as a thank you to everyone in Rockingham," said Covington. "And to surprise everyone with the video shoot was fun. Seeing the excitement from my fans, friends and family in the crowd was incredible."

The song was penned by Nickelsback's Chad Kroeger and Ryan Peake, along with co-producer Joey Moi. Currently climbing the country charts, this song is from Covington's sophomore album, "I'm Alright," due in spring 2010.
