Swift wins album of the year
Wednesday, November 11, 2009 – Taylor Swift won album of the year for "Fearless" at the 43rd annual Country Music Association awards Wednesday. She beat out Keith Urban, Sugarland, Brad Paisley and Jamie Johnson.
"This album is my diary, and so to all the people who voted for people for this, thanks for liking my diary. That's the nicest compliment," she said.
"I'm really proud of Taylor," said producer Nathan Chapman. In praising Swift, Chapman said, "She made everybody look like geniuses."
