Boyle challanges Swift
Wednesday, December 16, 2009 – Susan Boyle's dream continues, and she is challenging Taylor Swift for the biggest selling disc of 2009. "Fearless" has sold 2.7 million with Boyle's just released "I Dreamed a Dream," coming in at 1.8 million after 3 weeks, according to Billboard. Boyle has the top selling disc in the U.S.
Swift sold 168,000 units this past week, good for number 4 with sales up 32 percent. Carrie Underwood benefited from her Fox TV Christmas special last week because "Play On" moved from 6 to 5 on the overall chart with 107,000 units sold, a jump of 32 percent.
