Jason Isbell & The 400 Unit rest

Thursday, January 13, 2011 – "Here We Rest," the new album from Jason Isbell & The 400 Unit, is set for an April 12th release on Lightning Rod Records. This is the second album from Isbell and, and Isbell's third overall.

An Alabama native, rootsy artist Isbell comes from a tradition of Southern music, including his stint with Drive-By Truckers. His current unit consists of keyboardist Derry deBorja, guitarist Browan Lollar, drummer Chad Gamble and bassist Jimbo Hart.

Here We Rest was produced by Jason Isbell & The 400 Unit and recorded at the Fame Studios in Muscle Shoals, Ala. and at The NuttHouse in Sheffield, Ala. Jason Isbell & The 400 Unit will be previewing "Here We Rest" during South By Southwest in Austin on March 17. A full tour will follow the April release.

Instead of throwing together a bunch of many times unrelated celebrities to pitch in, Isbell has brought together talented performers to cover Georgia-related songs and songs by Georgia-based artists.
