Swift's "Speak Now" will top country charts
Wednesday, January 19, 2011 – Taylor Swift will have the top selling country disc in the U.S. when the Billboard charts are released Thursday with Steel Magnolia having the only other country disc in the top 10.
Swift's "Speak Now" was third on the overall top 200 chart with 35,000 units sold, down 32 percent. Steel Magnolia was seventh overall with 28,000 sold.
Cake was first with "Showroom of Compassion" with only 44,000 units sold, the smallest sales for a number 1 album since SoundScan started tracking sales in 1991.
Sales overall were down 15 compared to the same wee of 2010.
