Jewel escapes injury in accident

Monday, March 14, 2011 – A car accident Friday involving Jewel and a fire truck resulted in no injuries to her or her fetus.

Jewel's vehicle was hit by a fire truck Friday morning in Texas. "She was taken to the hospital and current medical tests conducted indicate that she and the baby are doing fine," her web site said.

Jewel, 36, is expecting her first child with husband Ty Murray.
