Shelton goes digital Platinum
Wednesday, July 6, 2011 – Blake Shelton received his first ever digital Platinum single this week for Honey Bee.
Shelton holds the record for the fastest-selling digital Platinum single for a male country solo artist. The single also holds the number one spot on the Country Aircheck / Mediabase chart and the Billboard Country chart for the fourth week in a row. No country artist has held this record in more than six years.
This Friday, Shelton will perform the hit and his new single God Gave Me You on the TODAY Show’s Summer Concert Series. An exclusive stream of God Gave Me You is on AOL this week.
Honey Bee is off Shelton’s eighth studio album, "Red River Blue," out July 12.
