Shelton sells out

Thursday, July 25, 2013 – The "Ten Times Crazier" party started this weekend for Blake Shelton's sold-out shows with shows in Virginia and New York.

The tour started Friday in Virginia Beach, Va. and continued Friday in Bristow, Va. and Saturday in Wantagh, N.Y. at Jones Beach. All three dates sold out with over 50,000 fans in attendance and tickets for this coming weekend’s dates have topped 60,000, selling out St. Louis, Indianapolis and Cincinnati.

Tailgaters arrived early in the morning at Jones Beach. "I heard music playing and just figured it was beach goers, but then I went outside and realized my fans had arrived earlier in the morning to tailgate," Shelton said. "Here we are in New York and there are pickup trucks and cowboy hats filling out the parking lot at Jones Beach. That was beyond anything I had anticipated."

The tour features Easton Corbin and Jana Kramer and has dates running through the fall.

The beat switches to hip-hop on "Money," but the sentiment ...
CD review - Live EP This six-song "Blake Shelton Live EP" seems a little odd. It's not as though Shelton had an especially noteworthy tour to document. Besides, at only six songs long, it's a relatively short document, anyhow. While it may be little more than a post-it note of a project, though, it also packs a powerful punch. You recognize right away the large amount of enthusiasm the act of singing to an audience brings out of Shelton. When compared to the recorded versions of these hits, ...
