Nettles, Bryan top charts

Thursday, January 23, 2014 – Sugarland's Jennifer Nettles topped the Billboard Country Albums chart for the week ending Feb. 1 with "That Girl." Luke Bryan continued atop the Hot Country Songs chart with "Drink a Beer."

Cole Swindell was second on the songs chart with "Chillin' It," one ahead of "Whatever She's Got" by David Nail. Florida Georgia Line's "Stay" was fourth with Jason Aldean fifth with "When She Says Baby."

Eric Church was a huge climber with "Give Me back My Hometown" at seven, up 18 in its third week out. Newcomer Jon Pardi notched his first top 10 with "Up All Night," climbing three to 10th. Rascal Flatts had the biggest mover with new single "Rewind" up 21 to 20. Blake Shelton was at 21 with "Doin' What She Likes," up seven.

On the album chart, Rosanne Cash debuted in second with "The River & The Thread." Pardi was third with his debut with "Write You a Song." FGL was fourth with "Here's to the Good Times." Bryan stood in fifth with "Crash My Party." Texas artist Cody Johnson debuted at seven with "Cowboy Like Me"," one ahead of "Crazy Life" from a capella group Home Free.

Florida Georgia Line debuted at 11 with an "iTunes Session" EP. Nashville: The Music Of Nashville: Season 2 / Volume 1" was at 23, up six.

Alan Jackson continued his stranglehold on the Bluegrass Albums chart with "The Bluegrass Album" first yet again. The disc has been out for 17 weeks. The Devil Makes Three was second with "I'm a Stranger Here," Steve Martin and Edie Brickell third with "Love Has Come for You," Michael Martin Murphey fourth with "Red River Drifter" and The Isaacs fifth with "The Living Years.

On the overall top 200, Nettle was fifth, Cash 11th, Pardi 14th, FGL 16th and Bryan 19th.
