CDB goes live in October

Thursday, August 13, 2015 – Charlie Daniels Band will go live come October.

CDB announced this week that "Live At Billy Bob's Texas" will be out on CD and DVD on Oct. 16 as part of the Smith Music Group series.

Recorded on Feb. 20, the 14-track project includes such hits as "The South's Gonna Do It (Again)" and "The Devil Went Down to Georgia."

Having recorded several live albums in his career, including his latest, military-centered 2007 release "Live From Iraq," Daniels said, "When you record live, you need to ignore the recording equipment and play for the people and that big old rowdy crowd. At Billy Bob's Texas, that was easy to do."

Songs on the CD are:
1. Southern Boy
2. Drinkin' My Baby Goodbye
3. Tangled Up In Blue
4. The Legend of Wooley Swamp
5. El Toreador
6. (What This World Needs Is) A Few More Rednecks
7. In America
8. Black Ice
9. Long Haired Country Boy
10. I'll Be Your Baby Tonight
11. Folsom Prison Blues
12. How Great Thou Art
13. The South's Gonna Do It (Again)
14. The Devil Went Down To Georgia

Song titles include Christmas Time Down South, Mississippi Christmas and A Carolina Christmas Carol. ...
CD review - Preachin', Prayin', Singin' DVD Charlie Daniels has his Southern rock personality (exemplified by The Devil Went Down To Georgia) and he also has his spiritual side (as he's known to join Billy Graham crusades now and again). But when the fiddler/guitarist first arrived in Nashville, he befriended folks like banjo great, Earl Scruggs, and his two sons, Gary and Randy. These three players appear with Daniels during this mainly bluegrass set, along with Del McCoury, The Whites and Mac Wiseman. Bluegrass gospel songs make up ...
