– Gloriana member Rachel Reinert announced today she was leaving the trio.
Reinert will work on a solo disc. The decision will leave what was once a quartet down to brothers Mike and Tom Gossin. Gloriana has released three albums and one EP. "Three" was the most recent release, out in June 2015.
Reinert posted an online statement, "It is with much thought, consideration and prayer that I have chosen to part ways with Gloriana. It has been such an incredible ride, and I have so many beautiful memories that I will cherish for a lifetime. I have gotten to see the world and meet so many wonderful people along the way. I am extremely grateful to everyone who has been a part of this journey for the last 8 years - from the bottom of my heart, I thank you."
"This was not an easy decision, nor one that I took lightly, but I felt that it was time for me to move on and follow my heart. I sincerely wish Tom and Mike Gossin all the best."
"I am excited to announce that I have begun working on the next chapter of my life as a solo country artist. I will be taking the first part of this year to write and record my album and cannot wait to get the music out as soon as I possibly can."
"See you all down the road."
Gloriana had three top 20 songs, led by "(Kissed You) Good Night," which hit number 2 in 2011. "Wild At Heart," its first single, went to 15 in 2009. "Can't Shake You" was at 20 in 2012. Only one single, "Trouble," charted from "Three." The song reached 36 on the Billboard charts.
The band's web site mentions nothing about Reinert's departure. The group also has no tour dates scheduled.
