Williams undergoes hip replacement

Tuesday, February 2, 2016 – Don Williams had to undergo hip replacement surgery, forcing cancellation of his tour, his publicist said this morning.

"Don Williams has regrettably been forced to postpone his 2016 tour after unexpected hip replacement surgery," the press release said.

There was no word on when or where the surgery took place, nor Williams' condition.

The Country Music Hall of Famer had planned a 21-city tour, starting Feb. 17 in Jacksonville, Fla., ending April 16 in Manistee, Mich. The tour was focused on the south and Midwest.
