Brooks admits lip synching
Wednesday, November 8, 2017 – Garth Brooks, who won the CMA Entertainer of the Year honor on Wednesday, acknowledged he lip-synched his performance earlier in the evening, the Nashville Tennessean reported.
"We made a gametime call on whether to sing to a track or lip-sync," the story said. "And we decided to lip-sync it."
The story said Brooks said he was sick and doing 12 shows in 10 days.
"We decided to lip-sync it because my voice just isn't going anywhere, and we wanted to represent country music the best we can," Brooks was quoted as saying.
