Capitol signs Lady Antebellum

Thursday, July 5, 2007 – A trio, Lady Antebellum , signed a record deal with Capitol. A new is expected later this all.

The group consists of lead female vocalist Hillary Scott, the daughter of Linda Davis, lead male vocalist Charles Kelley and guitarist Dave Haywood. The trio made their Grand Ole Opry debut last week. Scott, Kelley and Haywood all had their families there to share the event.

Bill Anderson introduced the trio and made a special note that it was a special night for him because more than 20 years ago he had introduced Hillary's father, Lang Scott, as a performer and then also had the opportunity to introduce her mom, Linda Davis, to the Opry Stage.
