Vince Gill, Luke Bryan, Andy Griggs lead Wagoner fishing tourney

Monday, June 2, 2008 – Vince Gill, Luke Bryan, Andy Griggs and Bobby Bare are among the country artists participating in the inaugural Porter Wagoner Memorial Artists & Anglers Fishing Tournament, set for Tuesday, June 3 in Nashville. The tour pairs 28 male and female Bass fishing anglers and country artists in a benefit for the Opry Trust Fund in Wagoner's memory. The singer, who often appeared on the Opry, died last fall.

The day will culminate in an all-star weigh-in at Bass Pro Shops at Opry Mills and an acoustic concert/jam session following the crowning of the first year's champions. The weigh-in and concert are free and open to the public. A silent auction has been added to the weigh-in to raise money for the Opry Trust Fund in Wagoner's name. Included in the auction will be an acoustic guitar, posters and t-shirts autographed by the artists and anglers.
