Rascal Flatts announces '09 tour, Jessica Simpson opens

Wednesday, October 1, 2008 – Rascal Flatts announced plans today to continue their sold-out "Bob That Head Tour" into 2009. The 2008 leg will wrap up Nov. 2, after a 2-day stay in Uncasville, Conn. at Mohegan Sun Casino. "Bob That Head Tour" winter 2009 dates will launch in mid-January and will run with approximately 25 shows. Dates, cities and on-sales will be announced later this fall. Jessica Simpson will open the 2009 "Bob That Head Tour" shows.

"There is nothing more we love about music than performing across America on tour for our fans," said lead singer Gary LeVox.

Simpson grew up with a mix of musical influences, and while it was her multi-Platinum pop success that launched her, she released her country debut, "Do You Know" in September with the single Come on Over.

On the macro level, the country vocal trio put a little funk - well, as much funk as three Nashville guys can muster - into "Go Tell It on The Mountain." And then, the cool little bass line introducing "Let It Snow" helps differentiate this act's version from possibly millions of other versions. Much of "The ...
