Josh Turner CD delayed until 2010
"Universal Music Group strives to put albums out at the most optimal time for the artists and Nov. 10 was not optimal, so it is now confirmed to be released on Feb. 9," MCA Nashville Regina Stuve said via email.
Turner recently shot the video for his single Why Don't We Just Dance with award-winning directors Robert Deaton and George Flanigen. The video takes the viewer on a trip through time. "We actually start in the 1950s and work our way through to the present," said Turner. "I thought it was a great concept because it shows that the song has a timeless message. Every decade has had its hard times, and sometimes it's good for people to step back and say, 'Why Don't We Just Dance?' Let's forget about the bad news and just focus on each other." Turner's favorite decade that is featured in the video is the '80's. "I laughed out loud when I saw the dancers', (Ciaran McCarthy and Ashley Anderson who are married in real life), wardrobe for the 80's scene. It brought back a lot of memories."
The music video will world premiere on GAC's Monday Music Mania on Oct. 5 at 8 p.m. Eastern. The song is the debut single from "Haywire." The song currently holds the number 34 position on R&R/Billboard and Mediabase/Country Aircheck charts.
