"Just a Kiss": just a record for Lady Antebellum

Monday, May 16, 2011 – Lady Antebellum's lead track, Just A Kiss, off their forthcoming third Capitol Nashville album debuted at 7 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart and became the highest debut by a country group in the chart's 52-year history.

The single sold more than 211,000 digital copies in its first week, earning the number 1 position on iTunes' country singles chart.

The song was first debuted on American Idol. The trio will again perform Just A Kiss on the 2011 Billboard Music Awards set to air live from Las Vegas on Sun., May 22 at 8 p.m. eastern on ABC.

The new album, slated for release later this year, follows the band's second disc "Need You Now." Since its release in January 2010, the album has sold more than 5 million copies world-wide and enjoyed 3 multi-week number 1 hits ("Need You Now, American Honey, Our Kind of Love).
