TBT announces new disc

Tuesday, February 13, 2018 – Trampled By Turtles will release its first disc in four years, "Life Is Good on the Open Road," on May 4. A tour will follow.

After an indefinite hiatus, the release contains a dozen songs of country, rock, folk, punk and progressive bluegrass. The group just released the album's opening track, "Kelly's Bar."

The band has announced a spring tour where they will play multiple nights in halls such as Washington, DC's 9:30 Club, Chicago's Thalia Hall, St. Paul's Palace Theatre, and headline major venues that include Nashville's Ryman Auditorium, Oakland's Fox Theatre and Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Morrison, Col. Supporting acts include Deer Tick, Hiss Golden Messenger and The Oh Hellos.

CD review - Life is Good on the Open Road After a four-year-break from recording, Duluth, Minn. sextet Trampled By Turtles return with its eighth studio release of edgy bluegrass and Indie folk/rock.
