Kershaw becomes father
Friday, September 13, 2019 – Sammy Kershaw became a father for the sixth time.
Kershaw and his longtime girlfriend, Mendy Gregory, announced the birth of Natelia Mae Kershaw. The couple's new baby girl was born Wednesday night in Lafayette, La., weighing 7 pounds and measuring 19 inches.
"Natelia was my grandmother's name. Mae was Mendy's grandmother's name. She is a gift from God," Kershaw told People.
This is Kershaw's sixth child. Kershaw is also father to daughters Emily, Erin and Sammie, as well as a son, Brandon and stepson Ryan.
Kershaw is currently on the road touring with Aaron Tippin and Collin Raye on the trio's Roots & Boots Tour.

Every male country singer worth his salt has been influenced by George Jones who died in April 2013; if not vocally, at the very least because of respect for country traditions and love of a fine song. Few, however, have the skills to sing as much like Jones as Sammy Kershaw can. If imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, Kershaw has that whole sincerity thing down pat.
