Turner bus involved in fatal accident of crew member
Thursday, September 19, 2019 – A tour bus carrying Josh Turner's road crew was involved in an accident in California on Wednesday, resulting in the death of a long-time Turner crew member.
The crash occurred near Shandon, Cal., resulting in the death of David Turner, 64, of Oxford, Miss., and and seven passengers injured. David Turner is not related to the singer, according to reports.
People website reported "California Highway Patrol told KSBY News that, for unknown reasons, the driver left the roadway and drove 20 yards before the bus fell from an 80-foot cliff."
Turner and his band were not on the bus, which crashed off of Highway 46 as it was leaving a concert in Paso Robles, Cal.
Turner canceled his remaining shows for September with the shows being rescheduled.
