Pope will "Rise and Shine"

Monday, June 22, 2020 – Cassadee Pope announced this morning that she would release a new acoustic disc, "Rise and Shine," on Aug. 7.

Pope said she would put out two of the songs this Friday - "Let Me Go" and "Built This House."

This marked the first time that Pope has helped write all of the songs on one of her releases and co-produced.

"Rise and Shine is a collection of songs that talk about where I've been and where I'm headed," said Pope in a Music Row article. "I wanted people to hear these in their purest form so I went with a more stripped back sound that really lets the lyrics stand out. My hope is that these songs help aid people into feeling every emotion they need to let out."

The track listing is:
1. Let Me Go (Cassadee Pope, Tina Parol, Kevin Rudolph)
2. Hoodie (Cassadee Pope, Johan Fransson, Emily Weisband)
3. California Dreaming (Cassadee Pope, Alex Kline, Shane Stevens)
4. Counting On The Weather (Cassadee Pope, Bobby Huff, Blair Daly)
5. Hangover (Cassadee Pope, Butch Walker)
6. Rise and Shine (Cassadee Pope, Danny Orton, Matt Scannell)
7. Sand Paper (Cassadee Pope, Alex Kline, Shane Stevens)
8. Built This House (Cassadee Pope, Forest Glen Whitehead, Kelly Archer)

Pope's last release, "Stages," came out in February 2019.

Stages CD review - Stages
Although Cassadee Pope's "Stage" album includes a few too many pop-country songs for comfort, it closes with a true winner. The ballad "I've Been Good," which turns a customary greeting response on its head, is a true show-stopper. She's been 'good,' yes; good at drinkin' whiskey and nearly everything except getting over a breakup. With its drinking song lyrical reference and sincere vocal sadness, Pope earns her wings as a fine country singer. »»»
Summer EP CD review - Summer EP
Cassadee Pope's new release is officially called "Summer EP." But upon a full listen, one wonders if the working title may have been "The Road More Often Traveled." To say that the third season "The Voice" winner played it safe is a bit of an understatement. She penned three of the songs, including the obvious title track and the more impactful, autobiographical "Alien." Elsewhere, the songs are about a summer fling, mean people and appreciating your loved ones. »»»
Frame By Frame CD review - Frame By Frame
Cassadee Pope gained a musical foothold thanks to winning "The Voice" in 2012 under the tutelage of Blake Shelton. What impact did TV have on the Florida native? One gets the sense that the songs (five written in part by Pope) were recorded with either the stage or radio in mind. There are a lot of big sounding songs here that would translate well to either stage or the airwaves. The lead singer of pop rock band Hey Monday, Pope has a fine voice standing above the musical fray (and »»»
