Dan + Shay take home three American Music Awards

Monday, March 23, 2020 – Dan + Shay won three American Music Awards on Sunday. As the evening's most most-nominated country act, the duo won each of their categories: Favorite Duo or Group – Country, Favorite Song – Country and Collaboration of the Year for "10,000 Hours" with Justin Bieber.

Dan + Shay became the first ever country artists to take home the all-genre Collaboration title.

Kane Brown won Favorite Country Artist - Male, while Maren Morris took the female honor.

Blake Shelton's "Fully Loaded: God's Country" took home Favorite Country Album.

"Wow, this is absolutely incredible," Shay Mooney said upon receiving the award for Favorite Song – Country. "Thank you guys so much, this is a huge honor. Thank you to our wives...our team, my two little boys. To the Nashville songwriting community, thank you guys so much for inspiring us every single day. There are so many great songs written in Nashville every day, and we know that. So the fact that you chose our song means the absolute world to us. To country radio, thank you for playing our music."

Dan Smyers said, "This has been the toughest year ever [because] we haven't been able to be together in person... But I just wanted to say, music has such an incredible power to unify us. Music has power to change lives, to save the world. So to all of our fellow artists and nominees, everybody creating art at home: thank you for doing what you do. And the fans – everybody up there [or] watching at home, thank you for everything."

CD review - Dan + Shay The track list on Dan +Shay's self-titled third album has a song crediting Kelly Clarkson as a featured vocalist. Upon a full listen, you will think they forgot about a few others. The disc features the duo's contemporary sound that mirrors many artists in the genre. The duo puts the ballads on ...
CD review - Obssessed Dan Myers and James Shay Mooney came from different parts of the country (Allegheny County, Pa. and Arkansas, respectively) and met in Nashville where each was tracking the well-worn path to country music success. They began writing songs together a little over three years ago, already have a hit album ("Where It All Began") and now have another tiger by the tail. Dan + Shay know a hook, can write songs and have identified a sweet spot in the formula of country music success. ...
