The Country Music Association  revealed today the nominees for the awards.

The awards honor artists and industry executives who have supported and impacted the growth and promotion of countruy in the international marketplace. Nominees are recognized in multiple categories and voted on by international members of CMA along with a select panel of U.S.-based professionals who have extensive knowledge in the international country music industry. These nominees from Australia, Canada, Germany, New Zealand, Scotland, South Africa, Sweden, the U.K. and the U.S. are honored for their continued efforts in expanding country's reach around the globe.

"As we continue to see country music grow globally, it is thanks in large part to those who have supported our mission and spearheaded events, initiatives and programming to reach new territories around the world," says Sarah Trahern, CMA Chief Executive Officer. "The dedication from each of these nominees has made them a vital part of the success of our genre internationally, and we cannot wait to celebrate them in the coming months."

"We cannot thank our international award nominees enough for their passion and efforts in expanding our international markets," says Milly Olykan, CMA Vice President, International Relations & Development. "As we look across the international landscape, it is evident that country music has more opportunity than ever to continue expanding across the globe. These international nominees are leading the charge in making that happen. CD reviews

You may be confused by the opening title track of Kip Moore's fifth studio album. "Damn Love" is a soft techno ballad straight out of the Eighties from an artist that traditionally has gone for hard charging hits like "Beer Money" and "Somethin' Bout a Truck." He has regaled his fans with tales of running off with an airport flight attendant, getting fired from Wal-Mart for smoking grass and a litany of other country vices including, drinking of course. ...
CD review - One Thing At A Time Morgan Wallen's album, which is longer than the average movie or concert (at nearly two hours), is too long. Perhaps even a Wallen apologist would agree with that assessment. Yes, it may be possible to have too much of a good thing. Few artists can create such an epic full-length without at least a little filler. Wallen's good, but not that good. However, all the good stuff on this song-packed release is extremely good, and worthy of our attention. The hits far outweigh the misses. ...
CD review - Dangerous: The Double Album The buzz in the industry is that Morgan Wallen is primed to be the next big country music superstar. If prognosticators are correct with this prediction, the man fully deserves all the recognition. Proof positive is his "Dangerous: The Double Album," which is a humongous 30 songs long! It's a two-CD set. Not like a double album from back in the LP era, but a double full-length CD effort. Therefore, if you want to take a deep dive with this one, make sure you have plenty of air in your scuba tank. ...
