Rascal Flatts hosts ACM golf tourney

Tuesday, February 5, 2008 – Rascal Flatts will host the fifth annual Academy of Country Music Celebrity Golf Classic, a fund-raising effort benefiting the Academy of Country Music Charitable Fund, Saturday, May 17 in Las Vegas.

The event is part of the week's festivities leading up to the 43rd Annual Academy of Country Music Awards, which will be broadcast live from Las Vegas on Sunday, May 18 at 8 p.m. on CBS.

"The Academy feels privileged to have Rascal Flatts host the Academy of Country Music Celebrity Golf Classic for the first time. They are such a dedicated group of artists, who truly understand the value of our charitable fund," says David Young, Senior Director of Operations for the Academy of Country Music. "It is always a compliment to our cause to work with those who are invested, generous and enthusiastic."

The golf tournament will exclusively cater to a sold out group of 100 golfers at TPC Las Vegas.
