Butts will "Hunt You Down"

Friday, March 1, 2024 – Kaitlin Butts doesn't mince words on her new single, ""Hunt You Down," out today on Soundly Music.

"If you fuck around, boy I'll hunt you down," Butts sings.

Written by Kesha Sebert (aka the singer Kesha) and Rick Knowles, Butts goes twangy on her latest release.

"The first time I heard 'Hunt You Down,' I quickly identified with it," said Butts. "It's a love song about making sure that someone is committed to you, but also threatening a little murder too. I think most folks would agree that's very on-brand for me. As I move into the next chapter of my music, and coming off my more serious previous record, I wanted to make an impact with a song that makes you laugh, have fun, but also comes with a thinly veiled threat."

Butts' rise began with the release of her 2022 album "What Else Can She Do."

Butts will perform at SXSW next month, open more shows for Dierks Bentley on his "Gravel & Gold Tour," play summer festivals (including Railbird, Under the Big Sky and Jackalope Jamboree), and will also have her own headline dates throughout the year.
